Home Mission

Home Mission is helping to transform lives and communities in and around our Association.

Home Mission is all about helping Baptist churches and individuals to reach their mission potential and bring the love of God to their communities. Communities around our region are being transformed by the generous giving of our Baptist Family to Home Mission. Home Mission giving provides grants to local churches, the regional associations and the specialist teams at Baptists Together in Didcot.

The EMBA and Baptists Together help facilitate church planting, the resourcing of local churches, the supporting and equipping of ministers and enabling churches to develop new and creative mission projects.

Every church that belongs to the Baptist Union or one of the Associations is supported by Home Mission – we all benefit in some way so we hope that every church will contribute to the family purse.

All Baptist churches are asked to give to Home Mission, with a current recommended minimum being 5% of the church’s income or £40 per member per year.

In 2023 EMBA giving to Home Mission totalled £240,034.91!

A huge thank you to our churches for your continued support for the work of Home Mission in our Association and beyond.

As a Baptist Family, let us continue to love, support and care for one another and share God’s generosity so that in turn others may be blessed and God’s Kingdom be extended.

Through the work of Home Mission, lives are being transformed and many have come to find faith in Jesus!

It was excellent & I would heartily recommend it to anyone with a desire to improve our support for the people, in our community, who are facing bereavement or end of life or have been bereaved.

Lubbesthorpe Pioneering Ministry - Leicestershire

It seems incredible, but I am approaching the end of my first three years in Lubbesthorpe! As I write, the diggers have moved in next to us and we are preparing for The Hub to be relocated.
